Clay Central/Everly Community School

Positively Maverick Youth (PMY) is an active volunteer organization where parents, teachers, and administrators work as full partners to provide enriching and fun programs. It is organized with the concurrence of the parents, legal guardians, grandparents and other supporters of the children attending the Clay Central-Everly Schools, and the schools assigned staff. It is not affiliated with any state or national parent – teacher associations.

Membership in the PMY is available to the family, guardian, grandparent or any interested party of any children attending CC/E schools or the school’s staff. Members are eligible to participate in the PMY business meetings, to vote in matters before the PMY board, the general membership, and to serve in its elective or appointive positions.

Hi everyone,

The 1st Annual CCE Talent Show was a hit!!! It was really exciting to see all of the wonderful talent we have in our district. We didn't do an audience count, but there was a pretty big crowd. There were 15 acts and each one was terrific. I have sent pictures to Diane and she will be posting some of them to the website. What a fun evening.

Our next event is DONUTS WITH DAD on March 25th. Invitations will be going out soon with the elementary students inviting the Dads (or grandpa or other male role model) to come to school and have a donut and juice with their elementary child(ren) before school. After their donut the Dads will walk their kids to class.

The CCE homepage has the following notice: Front row seats are available for the Saturday night, March 29th performance of the high school musical, "Guys and Dolls". Positively Maverick Youth is holding a silent auction for the tickets. You can choose 2 reserved seats on the center left or center right of the aisle. Please call Diane in Royal at 933-2242 to place your bid. We will close the bidding at noon on Wednesday, March 26th.

And last but not least, there will be a PMY meeting on Tuesday, April 1st at 7:00 p.m. No this isn't an April Fool's Day joke. The meeting will be held at the south (Royal) site. We hope to see a lot of people there. Come with ideas and suggestions. One of the things we would like to do is honor the CCE teachers for their hard work and to thank them for the care they give our children. National Teachers Day is the first Tuesday in May and Teacher Appreciation Week is the first week in May.

We hope to see you all at the meeting on the 1st. It would be great to have even more people involved so spread the word!
